Abrasive Strip Rings

Abrasive Flap Wheels are used for grinding work which is difficult to be achieved with an abrasive belt on a contact wheel. Typically this applies for contoured parts.

As the contact point is on the tip of the flap and not on the surface of the abrasive cloth, these tools always give the same performance during their life-time in relation to aggressiveness and achieved surface roughness. Contrary to flap wheels, an abrasive belt on a contact wheel is very sharp in the beginning and then gradually clogs and loses its sharpness, resulting in a constant decrease of achieved surface roughness during the life of the belt.

Abrasive finger buffs and strip buffs are specially suitable to work on difficult grooves or angles, due to their great flexibility.
